Where to buy LCD TV
There is a big debate on where to buy larger LCD TVs. Unlike other small electronics which can be bought online with lower price, the shipping and returning of big LCD TVs make online shopping much more difficult. In a recent article by New York times, a survey of 15,000 households in the US, showed 40% consumers purchased their TV from electronics chain stores such as Best Buy and Circuit City, 23% bought from Costco and other discount stores and only 18% purchased from Internet.
From my personal experience, the best way is as follows:
- Measure your room size, determine which size of LCD should you buy.
- From reviews such as consumerreports, cnet.com. Or the easiest, from the best LCD TV picks here, find out the best model within your budget.
- Check on sale coupon codes if you want to wait for a good deal. Techbargains is a very good site tracking the deals of electronics.
- It is best to order TV online from Best Buy.com, circuit city or Costco. You can choose to pick up in store if the shipping is not free. Also you can return or exchange easily in such stores.
