Vizio XVT3D650SV review: 65-inch 120Hz 1080p passive 3D TV with Internet TV and WiFi
The Vizio XVT3D650SV 65-inch 1080p 120Hz 3D LED HDTV features Theater 3D, VIZIO Internet Apps, Edge lit Razor LED™ backlighting with Smart Dimming™ and built-in 802.11n dual-band Wi-Fi. Connectivity includes 5 HDMI inputs.
There are two major advantages of the Theater 3D Edge Lit Razor LED™ LCD HDTV:
- Theater 3D generates crystal clear flicker-free 3D that’s up to 50% brighter than conventional 3D.
- The XVT3D650SV includes 4 pairs of polarized, battery-free 3D glasses. It saves you almost $600 in 3D glasses comparing with other 3D TVs. You can watch 3D movies or sports with your family or even friends. The Theater 3D glasses can be used in theater too.
Vizio Internet Apps and built-in WiFi allow the easy access of some of the best Internet content to your HDTV without mess wires. Vizio streaming media includes Netflix, Amazon Video on Demand and Vudu video; music services such as Rhapsody and Pandora. Vizio apps include Yahoo widgets, Facebook, Twitter, Picasa and Flickr, Weather, News, Sports and Stocks. But it does not have Skype.
The customized Bluetooth® remote with slide out QWERTY keypad enables you to control your TV, even type onscreen, from any spot in the room. With integrated Bluetooth® technology you can pair additional Bluetooth® compatible accessories to your VIZIO HDTV such as headphones.
The XVT3D650SV can deliver better sound quality thanks for the SRS TruSurround HD™ (Delivers immersive virtual high definition surround sound) and SRS TruVolume™ technology (Limits volume inconsistencies between programming).
The XVT3D650SV is very energy efficient: exceeds new Energy Star Guidelines. It comes with a built-in ambient light sensing technology, which can automatically adjusts back-light level to the light conditions of the room.
In addition, the LED edge light does not use mercury and therefore it is also environmentally friendly.
The Vizio XVT3D650SV review at cnet: 3/5
Although the first passive 3D TV- XVT3D650SV has an extensive feature set and the the passive 3D image does show less crosstalk than 3D LCDs, the 2D picture quality of the TV brought the rating down. For the full review read here.
