vizio M320NVThe Vizio M320NV 32-inch LED TV and the M320VT 32-inch LED TV were  on sale at Costco for $419.99.  The M320NV and the M320VT are very similar, both are 32-inch LED LCD TV with full HD 1080p resolution and 60Hz refresh rate.  At the first sight, the M320VT has 4 HDMI inputs and the M320NV has 3 HDMI inputs, you might thought the M320VT is a better buy.  In fact, these two models are so confusing that some users even put their reviews into the wrong models!

The major differences of the two models are as follows:

  • The M320NV has a higher dynamic contrast ratio (100,000:1) than the M320VT (50,000:1), lower response time 5 million seconds than the M320VT (8 million seconds).
  • The M320NV is thinner  1.17 ” than the M320VT 1.62″.
  • The M320NV has an extra NTSC tuner for analog signal and M320VT does not.
  • However, The M320VT has more colors of 1.06 billion than M320NV 16.7 million, and has 4 HDMI inputs as said before rather than 3 with the M320NV.

From many user reviews, the M320NV is a better buy for the great picture quality, although some people complained about the sound. When you buy the TV, make sure you select the correct model check the model number on the TV at the store or the model number located at the bottom left corner of the Costco webpage.  The consumer reports tested this model and  gave a very good score, but I can  not talk about the details of the ranking.  Consumer reports also recommended the  Panasonic L32X2, which is a 720p LCD TV with an iPod dock. The Panasonic L32X2 has an IPS panel which has a larger viewing angle. The major advantage of the M320NV is the Full HD 1080p LED screen which can be used as a nice PC monitor.  If you just want to watch the TV, the 720p Panasonic L32X2 is just as good as the 1080p M320NV.

Please keep in mind that the M320NV and the M320VT don’t have Internet content.  If you prefer to have a LED TV with Internet content, the best bet is to wait for newer models coming up this year. Last year’s model such as LG 32LE5400 is quite expensive at its class.
