Vizio E3D420VX review: Vizio 42-inch 3D LCD TV

The Vizio E3D420VX 42-inch 3D LCD TV is an affordable 3D LCD TV for only $699. This 42-inch 3D TV features Theater 3D, Vizio Internet Apps (VIA) and built-in WiFi 802.11n. The E3D420VX has full HD1080p resolution, 200,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 120Hz refresh rate. The E3D420VX includes two pair of 3D glasses and the connectivity includes 3HDMI inputs. Please note, the E3D420VX is a LCD TV with CCFL backlight, not LED back light.

The passive 3D TV uses polarized glasses, the same as used in 3D movie theater, which are much cheaper and lighter than active shutter glasses. You can get as many pairs as wish and enjoy 3D movie or sports with your family and friends for relative longer period of time. Recent reviews showed that the Vizio passive 3D TV does offer very good 3D effect comparing with active 3D TVs.
VIZIO Internet Apps (VIA) deliver web-based content directly to the television without the need for a PC or set-top box. Current Apps from top online content and service brands include: Netflix, Amazon Video On Demand, VUDU, Pandora, Facebook, Flickr, Rhapsody, Twitter, and Yahoo! TV Widgets. Additional Apps recently released include FandangoÂ, iMemories, MediaBox(TM), My-Cast®, TuneIn Radio(TM), Web Videos, Wiki TV and Yahoo Fantasy Football. Unfortunately, I still don’t see that Vizio supports Youtube. It is easy to control the apps with the two sided remote with keyboard.
The E3D420VX is energy efficient and exceed Energy Star 4.2 guidelines.

This looks like it’s an awesome TV and the fact it’s a LED LCD 3D HD makes this a great TV. I like LED TV’s and they perform well. I think having excellent HD quality is important. You also get great performance from a TV like this when you have enough HD content to offer. I have an awesome HD package with over 200 channels of HD, which is the most of any pay-TV provider. DISH has an offer where you can get the most HD free for life which is an offer all customers can get. This is one of the best combos to have, a great HD package and a great HD TV. This has helped enhance my employee service from DISH to a better experience.
