Today this is the first time I filled up my gas tank with $59!! This makes me to find out how to save on gas. There are many many tips available. However, many of them are only good in theory and not make too much difference in reality. Edmunds.com did some tests and found out the most significant way to save gas are very simple:

Moderate driving ( avoid quick accelerate, hard brake) could save up to 37%,

Driving lower speed and try to use cruise control could save up to 14%

Avoid excess idling could save up to 19%.
