The picture quality is great but the sound is only fair according to consumer reports’ test. If money is not an issue and you prefer the slim design, this is the one for you. For 50-inch HDTV, the best viewing distance is 6.3-12.5 feet. Samsung PN50B860 is great for family rooms and living rooms.
