Tomtom for iPhone GPS and car kit look really good.  The car kit include a GPS antenna to enhance the GPS signal and an iPhone charger.  You can also have hands-free dialing and a larger speaker to give the directions.  The price is rumored ca $200, that is about the price of Garmin nuvi 760.  It is your decision whether it makes sense or not to buy such a kit with $200.
