Sony EX720 series reviews

Two detailed expert reviews on the Sony EX720 series just came out. Interestingly, there are some contradictions on the black levels of this TV, which is a key measure of the picture quality. Cnet review tested the 46EX720 and found that it produced relative light black levels. On the other hand, the televisioninfo.com said that the 55EX720 has deep black levels and even better than last year’s Sony 55NX810. Cnet did not test the 3D function and the televisioninfo.com did test the 3D. Sometimes you really have to be careful about the “expert reviews” since they have different testing methodologies. In many ways, I like to read the users reviews. However, both reviews agree that Sony EX720 series has an excellent Internet services and very energy efficient.

Cnet just posted out their review on Sony EX720. They tested the 46EX720, but all the models in the EX720 series have the same features. According to their review, the EX720 series has extensive internet services and extremely energy efficient, but produce ” lighter black levels”. The review is here.
