Sony Bravia KDL-46EX400 46-inch LCD 1080p 60Hz HDTV review
The Sony Bravia 46EX400 46-inch LCD HDTV features Full HD 1080p resolution, BRAVIA Engine 2 fully digital video processor and USB port for photos, music and video playback. Connectivity includes 4 HDMI inputs and one PC input.
The 46EX400 is on sale at micro center for only $599. This is the best deal I can find for this model, most other stores sell it for over $700.
The Sony 46EX400 review:
The 46EX400 is Sony’s low end LCD TV with 60Hz refresh rate to reduce motion blur. There are no advanced features such as Internet services, built-in WiFi and Ethernet port.
The image quality of the Sony EX400 is good. It is BRAVIA® Sync™ Compatible: you can operate and control other BRAVIA® Sync™ compatible devices – including BRAVIA® HDTVs, Blu-ray Disc™ Players, surround sound systems, Handycam® camcorders and Cyber-shot® digital still cameras, all with one remote control. However, the remote control itself is large and hard to use with small buttons, according to many users.
The Sony 46EX400 is very energy efficient with Amibent Sensor and LightSensor technology. Ambient Sensor can adjust the picture color and contrast according to the light conditions of the room. LightSensor™ Technology automatically increase or decrease the level of brightness of your TV’s backlight based on a room’s lighting conditions.
The Sony 46EX400 comes with 7 HD Inputs including four HDMI inputs that can be connected to a Blu-ray player, PlayStation®3 gaming console and other HDMI compatible AV devices.
In addition, the 46EX400 has a USB input that you can connect your digital camera, USB-enabled MP3 player, or USB storage device directly to your HDTV’s USB input and watch your photo slide show or listen to your favored music.
The KDL-46EX400 is one of the three models in Sony EX400 series. The other two are Sony KDL-40EX400 and Sony KDL-32EX400.
