Sharp said that LCD TV will be in higher demand this year
According to Wall Street Journal, Both Sharp and Panasonic will significant expand the output of flat screen displays. Sharp is Japan’s top LCD TV maker, produced more than 10 million LCD TV last year ended March. Please note, most Japanese manufacturers have the fiscal year ended in March. Sharp said that this year’s output will be significant higher due to the recovery of global economy and the introduction of 3D TV. Sharp expects “5% to 10% of its TV sales to come from 3D TVs in the fiscal year through March 2011, and about 20% to 30% in the following fiscal year.”
In a separate report, Sharp will launch the first four primary color (Red, green, blue and yellow) 3D TV, which will afford brighter and more vivid colors. Sharp will utilize the side-mount scanning LED backlight technology in the 3D TV.
