The Sharp LC-60LE830U 60-inch LED TV features  edge-lit LED X-Gen LCD panels with Quattron Quad Pixel Technology, AquoMotion 120Hz refresh rate, in a slim bezel design. The Sharp LC-60LE830U is the successor of the last year’s LC-60LE820UN.

Pro:

  • Very good colors
  • Built-in WiFi

Con:

  • lighter black levels
  • No 3D
  • Limited Internet services

Sharp’s proprietary Quad Pixel Technology adds yellow color to the three colors of R (red), G (green), and B (blue) of the traditional television pixel structure. The addition of the yellow color can reproduce some colors which are hard to reproduce, such as brass. In addition,  the yellow sub-pixel allows more light to pass through to the panel to produce brighter images.

Sharp LE830U series comes with the built-in WiFi and has access to Internet services such as Netflix, VUDU and CinemaNow.

The LE830U Series AQUOS Quattron LED TVs includes four models: 60-inch LC-60LE830U, 52-inch LC-52LE830U, 46-inch LC-46LE830U and 40-inch LC-40LE830U.  The 830 series will be available in March.
