Samsung UND6400 series review: 3D LED TV with Smart TV
The Samsung UND6400 series is Samsung’s low end 3D LED TV featuring Edge-lit LED backlight with local dimming, Double-frame-rate technology for smooth and sharper images, 120Hz refresh rate and Samsung Apps with universal search.
The upgraded Samsung Apps Internet TV or ”Smart TV,” adds a “Search All” feature that can search across different Internet service providers, such as Netflix, Vudu and Amazon VOD. The new smart TV has a Your Movie function that will suggest movies based on your watching history. However, the UND6400 series do not have the Web browser and built-in Wi-Fi found on Google and on step-up 2010 Samsung Apps-equipped models.
The UND6400 works with Samsung’s new Bluetooth 3D glasses, which should reduce interference and line-of-sight issues associated with last year’s IR based 3D glasses. This series TV also features ca 20% brightness boost.
The UND6400 series models are “eco-friendly” TVs which has ca 15% power consumption reduction and used less toxic materials. The dates of launch are not available at this time.
The UND6400 series has five models:
- 60-inch UN60D6400
- 55-inch UN55D6400, $2399.99
- 46-inch UN46D6400, $1599.99
- 40-inch UN40D6400, $1299.99

Samsung UND6400 series review
Cnet posted their review on the Samsung UND6400 series. The UND6400 was ranked as 3.5/5 very good for “the relative deep black levels”, and “improved 3D picture quality”.
The best thing about this model is that when switching between 2D and 3D viewing, the UND6400 is pretty versatile. In terms of edge-lit LED LCD units, this particular modelpretty good, though the price is on the higher end to some extent.
