Panasonic 2011 plasma  HDTV line up includes five series models: the VT30, GT30 and ST30 are Full HD 3D models. The S30 series is Full HD 1080p 2D models and the X3 series is 720p models.

The budget S30 and X3 series plasma TVs have a simplified version of Internet TV: IPTV.  Panasonic introduces Easy IPTV this year.  Easy IPTV allows to access six of the most popular movie, music and social networking sites:  Netflix, Amazon VOD, Napster, Pandora, CinemaNow and Facebook.

Even you just want a 2D Plasma TV set, the 2D picture quality of S30 and X3  are not the same with 3D plasma HDTV such as VT30, GT30 or ST30 series.  The 2D-only models, “will likely have significantly worse picture quality than the 3D sets.”

Panasonic Viera X3 series 720p Plasma TVs

The Panasonic X3 series plasma TV features HD 720p resolution and easy IPTV.   Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs and  two USB ports.

Panasonic S30 series Full HD 1080p plasma HDTV

The Panasonic S30 series plasma TV features full HD 1080p resolution and easy IPTV.   Connectivity includes three HDMI inputs and  two USB ports.  The S30 series is not 3D TV.
