Google voice offers very low rates to make international calls: Australia, China, French, German, Hong Kong, UK, and many other countries only $0.02 per minute, Brazil $0.04 per minute, India $0.07 per minute, Russia, $0.05 per minute.  For the complete list of international calling rates: click here.

To make international calls from Google voice, you have to buy credit first. Click on Add Credit on the left side of your google voice inbox or on the  Billing tab of your Google Voice Settings. You’ll get to a Google Checkout page where you can enter your credit card and billing information. Once you complete your purchase, you’ll get a verification message with the purchase details at the email address you used to sign in to Google Checkout.

Once you bought the credit, you have two ways to make international calls.

1.   From the web:   Click the Call button at the top left of the page and enter the international number with “+ country code” or “+1countrycode” depending where you’re calling ( e.g. +442012345612345+1246-426-0200).

2. From the Google Voice phone system:  Call your Google phone number from any phone. If necessary, press * and enter your PIN to access the Google Voice system. Once you’re in the Google Voice system, press 2 to make a call. When dialing an international number, enter 011, the country code, and then the number (e.g. 011442012345612345).
