canon-5d-markiiEOS 5D Mark II 1.1.0 firmware update adds a manual exposure control to the video mode. The firmware 1.1.0 is now available for download at Canon USA site.

This firmware update allows users to achieve more controls when shooting videos with Canon 5D Mark II. The firmware 1.1.0 enables the following manual controls when shooting videos:

  • Full aperture selection
  • ISO speed: Auto, 100 – 6400 and H1
  • Shutter speed: 1/30th – 1/4000th second

After this firmware, people might wonder when Canon T1i can get the firmware like this  to have manual controls in video capture. Whether it is possible to achieve faster movie recording, see, 60 fps when recording movies.
