The new Apple Cinema Display is really nice!  Many people wonder if this new display can be used with older MacBooks or iMac.  The short answer is no.  The new 24″ apple display uses a mini-Display Port which is compatible only with the new MacBooks.  The older MacBooks use a mini DVI port.  However, there is no mini-DVI to mini Display Port adapter available to connect the mini-DVI to the mini-Display Port.
