Best UV filters for digital SLR lenses

Many people like to use UV filters to protect the lenses. But others don’t like to use UV filters since they might cause flare and even reduce the image quality, especially for low quality UV filters. Therefore, you need to use good quality UV filters. The best UV filters are B+W Multi-Resistant Coating UV filters and Hoya HMC UV filters. Multicoated UV filters are designed to minimize reflection at the filter surfaces which reduces flare and ghosting.   B+W haze UV glass filters are value buys.

    72mm filters also fit Canon’s EF-S 18-200mm IS.
