There are nearly 2000 iPhone applications available in app store and more coming every day.  It is important to select the most useful ones on your home screen.  I have been keeping on searching the best and most useful iPhone apps.  Best iPhone apps for travel were picked earlier:

Pageonce, IconFind, Travelocity for iPhone, Urbanspoon, Gas Finder, Kayak and Wikipedia on iPhone.  In addition to these, the following is the list I feel confident to recommend to you:

• WhitePages Mobile (free)

This is extremely useful application.  You can search people, business and do reverse phone searches.  The search results can be sent into your contacts with a touch.  The directions to the search address can be obtained by GPS too.

• Dial Zero (free)

This app allow you to dial the customer service numbers of over 600 companies and skip  directly to a person.  In addition, there are many useful tips from users.

• Simplify Media (free)

With simply Media, you can listen to your music collections from your home computer on your iPhone or IPod touch.  You can also share with up to 30 friends.  Simplify Media was named as the 10 best downloads of 2007 by cnet.

• YouNote (free)

With youNote, you can write notes, recorder voice memos and take picture notes.  It is an one-stop program which can replace voice recorder, camera and writing pad.  Although there are two more good recorders available, such as recorder ($0.99) and ECCoNote.  YouNote is far more versatile.

• Now playing (formerly box office) (free)

I like this better than showtime because it shows the rank of movies. With this application, you can keep movie and theater information on you iPhone even without Internet connection.

• Remote (free from apple)

With Remote you can control music in your iTunes from anywhere in your room since it works through WiFi. You can play, pause, fast forward, shuffle and see your songs just like in the front of your computer.

• Tanjas SOS Flashlight (free from Volker Funke)

Unlike many other flashlights, this one can be used as a SOS signal as well.  There are white, red, green and yellow colors available.

• Mobile News from AP (free)

With mobile news you can keep  with what is happening locally and around the world.   You can personalize news on entertainments, sports, and finance to meet your needs.

• USA today (free)

You might not see this in App store, but you just go to USA today and save the site on your home screen.  USA today has an iPhone version.
