70-72 inch 3D LED TVs and LED TVs
Four consumer 70-inch above LED TVs will be available this year. The 70 -inch LED TV is much bigger than 55-inch LED TV. It is not 70/55 bigger, it is 1.6 times (70×70/55×55) bigger. LG will offer the largest consumer TV, Infinia LZ9700, the full HD 1080p 3D enable LED TV. Vizio took their passive 3D technology into a 71-inch Cinemawide 3D LED TV -Vizio XVT3D710CM. Sharp will release their 3D and non 3D 70-inch LED TVs with Quad pixel technology.
The LG 72LZ9700 is LG’s largest consumer TV and Full HD 1080p 3D-enabled HDTV, featuring Full LED Slim technology with Local Dimming, TruMotion 480Hz refresh rate, and THX 3D and 2D Display Certification (pending). Other key features include LG SmartTV with Magic Remote, DLNA, Built-in Wi-Fi (adaptor included) and Smart Energy Savings.
The Vizio XVT3D710CM is Vizio’s new Cinemawide HDTV with a 21:9 aspect ratio, that is wider than normal LED TV (16:9 aspect ratio). This kind of wider display, which has a higher native resolution of 2560×1080 than the standard 1080p HDTV (1920×1080), can display the 2.35:1 (cinema scope) movies without any black bar.
The Sharp LC-70LE935 is Sharp’s flagship 70-inch 3D TV featuring full array local dimming technology, 2D to 3D conversion, Internet TV with built-in WiFi, plus Sharp’s Quad pixel technology.
The Sharp LC-70LE732U is Sharp’s largest LED TV in 2011, featuring Sharp’s X-Gen panel with Quad Pixel Technology and full array LED backlighting, 120Hz refresh rate, Internet services and built-in WiFi. The LC-70LE732U is NOT a 3D TV. The Sharp LC-70LE732U will be available in May. There is no price information at this time.
